OKB «RITM» SFEDU was founded by rector’s order № 269 from 24.09.1997. At 23th of November, 2006 Taganrog State University of Radio Engineering became a subdivision of Southern Federal University.

OKB «RITM» SFEdU as a separate structural unit of the Southern Federal University:

• has its own accounts opened in commercial banks;
• concludes contracts with customers and suppliers for execution of works, services and goods delivery;
• independently distributes revenues from work performance;
• has a separate accounting balance.
